Encourage and Uplift

Encourage one another and uplift, this phrase is so farfetched and seems not to exist in today’s society, this world as all of us can bear witness to is a world of hate and discord, people put each other down, talk ill-mannered to one another and seem to find fault in all someone else does, it’s so easy to downcast and pass judgement on someone else, if I can be honest I myself have fallen short of this same thing, I came to the realization that I can’t control what someone else does I can only control what I do, but my assignment here on earth is to be a light to those in darkness, in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 we are commanded to encourage one another and build each other up, In Ephesians 4:29, God says let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. When I think about this passage, I pray that on my daily walk that God will fill me and become that beacon of light, because God is Love and if we are going to be representatives of the Most High God we must live by His example, Matthew 22:36-40 one of the teachers of the Law of Moses asks,  “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
