Praying and Receiving
Praying is a part of our communication with God, we can now come boldly to the Father with our cares and concerns, we don’t need a mediator to come between what we have to say to the Father and what the Father has to say to us. God already knows what we need before we even ask, He knows what we are going through before we even go through it, People often ask the question why should we pray if God already knows these things? Just as any parent who knows and understands their children, God desires a personal relationship with us and one way is to stay connected with Him, when your prayers go up to the Blesser He comes and intercedes on our behave and we receive all that God has for us which is His direction and guidance for our lives.
Another reason why prayer is an important part of the Christian lifestyle is without it we cannot fight off the enemy from interfering in our lives as well as our families and friends, without prayer we will not know how to handle Spiritual Warfare that comes to steal, kill and destroy John 10:10 our walk with the Father, we have to soberminded and aware of the enemy’s schemes and tactics. In the Garden of Gethsemane Matthew 26:36-46, Jesus prayed to God asking Him if there was any other way to take the cup of suffering from Him, In the Bible you will find many times that Jesus continually prayed He would go off to Himself and pray to God His Father, so if Jesus Christ prayed, we should also be following His ways.
We also pray to intercede on behalf of others, God calls us to pray for people, places and things. The Holy Spirit places upon our hearts the matters we should pray for. We should not pray for selfish gain or pray ill will towards one another.
God will supply all your needs according to His riches and Glory Philippians 4:19, so pray continuously throughout your day and give God the praise and the Glory for all He has done for you and receive His Blessings upon your life in Jesus Name Amen
