Stay away from evil, don’t be tainted.

1 Thessalonians 5:22-28

Throw out anything tainted with evil. May God Himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together spirit, soul, and body and keep you fit for the coming of our Master,

Jesus Christ.

I believe that in His infinite love, God is guiding us during this season, urging the Body of Christ to remain watchful, careful, and to avoid even the slightest appearance of evil.

Isaiah 5:20

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

I read in a Commentary that says, it is any evil that looks like it, any show of evil, any suspicion of it, carries in it, or leads up to it.

At times, we may find ourselves engaging in idle chatter, gossip, and behaviors we know we should be avoiding, whether consciously or not.

There were moments when I had to remind myself not to be easily influenced by others or feel compelled to follow the crowd just to fit in. Let me be clear—I fully embrace personal accountability and take full responsibility for my actions. However, in the heat of the moment, it's easy to lose sight of that, leaving us entangled in unforeseen situations and we all have fallen short of God's glory.

but in retrospect we are the light of Jesus Christ

1 Thessalonians 5:12-15

We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.  And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.  See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

This is God's will for our lives, so if God advises you against certain actions, words, associations, or places—even if it contradicts the better judgment of friends or family—trust that God knows what is best for you. You may be talked about, you may even lose some friends or family members, but ultimately, it will be for your benefit. Some might claim you’re acting superior or appearing "holier than thou," but the truth is, it’s not about them. It’s about God working in your life. His calling for you requires obedience to His Word.

Evil comes in many forms it is disguised; it can be persuasive and appear very harmless, just like when Satan beguiled Eve into eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, Adam already knew what God had told him in Genesis 2:16-17, but because Eve was the weaker one, he was able to convince Eve of partaking in his evil plan.

Pursue a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. Immerse yourself in God's Word, pray sincerely, and ask Him to remove anything in your life that is not aligned with His will. Repent for your actions, thoughts, or words that may have fallen short, forgive those who have wronged you, and pray earnestly for those who are struggling.

Resist the pull of sin and remain steadfast in righteousness. Stay focused, for God is in complete control.

God knows what's best for you

Scriptures:

Romans 12:1-2

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

1 Corinthians 15:33-34

Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character: Come back to your senses as you ought and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God- I say this to your shame.

Ephesians 6:12

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
